Creating my own website has really made me appreciate the artistic quality in others’. Since creating my own, I’ve found some ingenious examples of what flash, html and a bit of creativity can do for you.

Conclave Obscurum

You know when you see a website and want to marry it? No? Never get this? Okay, well let’s put it this way. I’d never be divorcing this little beauty. Okay, so it’s a bit creepy. The background music does make me want to reach for the pillow and check Silent Hill hasn’t crept into the neighbourhood. But underneath it all is a raw quality that I love.screen-capture-10.png

From what I understand, (and that’s saying something with the higgilty piggiltyness of the site,) it’s actually a musician’s website. But hey, I’m just here to appreciate the beauty.

My Chemical Romance

Okay, so I may be a bit biased here, but I am really enjoying this band at the moment and it thrilled me that they had a beautiful website. For the last couple of days it had flatlined (quite literally! The website had a heart monitor on it and nothing else,) but it’s resurrected again. It provides a lovely look at flash and html working hand in hand with each other.

I’m not sure I actually like this site. I’m only sure that it’s a great use of layout and html coding. I like sites that have intricacy and “easter eggs” as it were. I think this site could be made more than what it is, but is still a beautiful representation of what can be done with a bit of creative thinking.

Neomu

I love this site! It’s a bit of fun and thats what makes it so charming. Don’t forget to look beyond the immensely pleasurable dandelions :D   There’s some great work beyond the blowing.

Flash! (Ah ah)

02/11/2007

In the next few weeks I hope to be concentrating on my website. For years I’ve found flash websites to be too large to run effectively, and annoying to the point of eventually giving up at even looking at the company.

But E-bloc and Lightmaker are the new (well…) kids on the block, with great innovative designs and easy interfaces. These are great pioneers in the world of flash websites. And they certainly have found a way to make me hang around and actually wait for the site to load now!
